WARNA DALAM WPAP

Selama ini setiap kita melihat karya seni rupa pop art, selalu saja yang tersaji adalah karya yang penuh warna meriah, sehingga wajar bila kemudian orang beranggapan bahwa seni rupa po art itu harus warna-warni. Bahkan kemudian imej beragam warna ini dianggap sebagai ciri utama dari seni rupa pop art. Nggak terlalu salah memang, tapi saya kira juga kurang pas betul.
Dalam silsilah seni rupa, seni pop art disebut sebagai keturunan dari seni rupa modern. Orang tua kandungnya adalah dadaisme. Ini menurut Soedarso SP dalam bukunya, Sejarah Perkembangan Seni Rupa Modern. Batasan seni rupa modern sendiri begitu rumit dan banyak. Yang sering mengacaukan adalah adanya kata modern di situ. Banyak yang keliru menganggap bahwa karya seni rupa yang dibuat di jaman modern, otomatis disebut seni rupa modern. Dari banyak dan rumitnya batasan sebagai cap seni rupa modern, akhirnya para ahli sepakat bahwa faktor kreatifitaslah yang mutlak harus ada pada seni rupa modern.
Aku ingin sekali membantu teman-teman yang masih kesulitan memimilih warna untuk karyanya. Tapi jujur, aku nggak tahu cara yang paling tepat untuk itu. Masalahnya hal itu berada dalam wilaya 'rasa' yang tidak bisa dihitung secara pasti. Kali ini aku coba cara ini, mudah-mudahan bisa sedikit membantu.
Pertama, kita coba dulu bikin WPAP dalam grayscale.Tentunya foto aslinya juga kita buat gray scale. Ak pikir merasakan gelap/terangnya warna akan lebih mudah kalau dalam grayscale ( Gambar 1).
Kalau dalam grayscale udak keliatan enak,Bisa di coba dibuat ! tone warna dulu. Caranya, dari Grayscale, mode diubah jadi CMYK. Barulah dgn menggunakan Channel Mixer, geser2 C,M,Y dan K-nya * Gambar 2).
Atau dari gambar grayscale,Mode diubah jadi CMYK, kemudian satu per satu facetnya diubah warnanya dengan plihan warna yang kira2 gelap atau terangnya sebanding dengan warna yang kita gantikan. ( Gambar 3).
Nah selamat mencoba, mudah2an bermanfaat.Amiin.
